Don B. writes: "Hi. I wanted to let you know I finished your book. It took me five-and-a-half hours; three one day and two-and-a-half the next. One adjective best describes Beneath the Surface-TREMENDOUS. There are not enough words in our language to describe this novel. I have read hundreds of books in my 78 years and may God give me the eyesight to read more; especially if there are more like yours. I liked the Left Behind series and other Christian books by Graham, John MacArthur et. al. I've read study books galore and have taught Sunday School (men's) for 30 years. Bring on another one. If I can help in any way to get your book distributed let me know. I have already passed my copy on; with a promise of divine wrath if not returned, so I can pass it on again. Just a couple of liberties: your descriptive adjectives were also great. When one entered a scene they knew what room they were in, what the crime scene was. The questions: who, what, where, when and why were always answered. I used those questions in teaching the Gospels, managing a radio station, being a cop, etc. Again, thank you for writing a great novel. That scene near the end...WOW. Looking forward to seeing you again. Keep writing. God will bless you."
Sheree A. writes: "I loved the book. When Chief Billing's son Bryan is missing, it reminded me of Stephen King's "The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon". Very suspenseful. I could picture the woods as they were all running through them, because of his [Derrick's] great details. I have to admit, I had to jump ahead a few chapters to find out what happened. But I did go back and read them. The author used such good details that it was if you were right in the story with the family. I am a retired Deputy Sheriff so I could relate to some of the police officers' concerns and thoughts, espically about criminals. The author did his homework when he was gathering information from the real Potsdam Police Department."
